Named for an early Madonna song, these classic woolen accessories are perfect for the happy crisp, cool days of September when the lines between the seasons begin to blur, the leaves begin to change, and autumn is in the air!

Sizes:
Hat: one size to fit up to 22 inch head circumference.
Mitts: one size to fit up to 8.5 inch palm circumference.

Finished Measurements:
Hat: approx. 8 inches from crown to brim and 18.25 inch circumference, unblocked, with up to 3.75 inches negative ease.
Mitts: approx. 7.25 inches from cuff to end and 5.75 inch circumference, unblocked, with up to 3 inches negative ease.

Yarn:
Hat: approx 111 yards
MItts: approx 80 yards.

Samples were knit using Knit Picks Twill Worsted 100% Superwash Merino Wool in Crabapple & Gold Rush; one skein each.

Necessary Skills:
Alternate Cable CO (or stretchy CO of choice), ribbing, slipped sts, knit, purl, decreasing (K2tog, CDD), knitting in the round, using DPNs, blocking. (Links to video tutorials for Alternate Cable CO & CDD are included.)
