Botanic Pullover
FINISHED SIZE 33 1/2 (38, 42, 46 1/2, 50 1/2)“ lower edging circumference. Pullover shown measures 33 1/2”.
YARN Lorna’s Laces Honor (70% baby alpaca, 30% silk; 275 yd 251 m/3 1/2 oz 100 g): Washington, 5 (6, 6, 6, 6) skeins.
NEEDLES Size 4 (3.5 mm): 24” circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
NOTIONS Markers (m); removable markers; stitch holder; waste yarn for provisional CO; tapestry needle.
GAUGE 26 sts and 30 rows = 4” in rev St st.
The front of this pullover is worked back and forth, beginning with a provisional cast-on. Stitches for the back are picked up from the cast-on. The unusual construction and shaping create a dramatic layering piece.
