Botanica Mitts
Sometimes outside your hands get cold but you want to be touching nature, feeling the texture of leaves and pebbles. INNER WILD Botanica Mitts are practical as well as lovely.
They are cozy-warm in pure wool with garter stitch around your knuckles and stocking stitch running up towards your elbow. Of course, you can take your thumb out of the thumb hole and also wear these warmers as sleeves.
You might prefer no thumbhole and knitting your Botanica Mitts in the round. This super-easy Botanic Mitts pattern is a great basic fingerless mitts design for all chunky yarns.
You can adapt it in all kinds of creative ways. Try other yarns - what about holding several fingering and textured yarns together? Thick n thin hand spun and textured wools.
This design is great when you want to let the yarn be the hero. You can also play with your knitting stitches, for example, try moss instead of garter stitch or mix up stocking stitch and garter rows.
Super-simple instructions, easily to follow. Use either 7mm or 8 mm (US11) needles. All materials – needles, notions and yarn – you’ll need are included in the pattern.
