Botanical Garden Shawl
The Botanical Garden Shawl is knit from the top down and is shaped into an elongated crescent by the use of short rows. The wide-lace edging gives it a light, elegant appearance that can be worn over the shoulders as a formal shawl, or worn as a chic lacy scarf with jeans and a tee.
Pattern Notes
The Botanical Garden Shawl was first released in March 2012 and has become one of my most popular patterns. So, as soon as we launched our new yarn Journey, I knew it was time to re-write the pattern!
This new version includes a larger size to which more repeats have been added to the lace section so that you can get more mileage out of your yarn and a cosier shawl. I have also included instructions to make the smaller size, for which you would only need around 1.5 skeins.
Finally, I have re-written the pattern to include German Short Rows. I find these easier to knit and they appear almost invisible in Garter Stitch. Hope you enjoy!
