Inspired by some of my favorite prairie flowers, Botany is a half-circle shawl knit in a simple lace pattern that evokes unfurling petals. Knit in a super bulky yarn, this shawl will keep you cozy through the long prairie winter, and remind you of the flowers promised by spring.
Needles: US 11 (8mm) 32” (80 cm) circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
Yarn: 396 yards (363 metres), 336 g super bulky weight yarn
Sample shown in Hinterland Watershed (50% Camelid - Alpaca, 50% Wool - Rambouillet, 132 yards 121 metres, 112 g) x 3 skeins
Notions: tapestry needle
Gauge: 11 stitches x 16 rows = 4” (10 cm), over stockinette, blocked
