Boulder Bridge Tank
The boulder bridge tank is my first soiree into what I consider to be ‘full on summer knitting’. I wanted a knit garment that I could wear in DC summers. This tank was designed with the intention of breathability (all over lace), easy wearing (deep armholes), and versatility (reversible front and back).
This tank was inspired by one of my favorite spots in DC: the Boulder Bridge in Rock Creek Park! If you’ve followed along over the years, you have seem many photos with this special place in the background. Rock Creek is an urban National Park, and spans over 3 square miles in Northwest DC.
Generous yarn support for the Boulder Bridge Tank was provided by Kate from Red Door Fibre Studio for this project. Kate is a gem. She has inspired me to step outside my comfort zone in so many ways, including making my first sample in the lovely bright pink!
As always, if you have any questions during the knitting process please send me an email at hello.bloom.create@gmail.com. I would love to see your versions on Instagram, please use #BoulderBridgeTank, and #BloomCreateDesigns.
Take care + Happy knitting,
Emma Janet*
