Celebrate friends, family, and perfect knitting weather with the Bounty Beret, a super simple statement hat for the holiday season.

The beret is worked in the round from the top-down, beginning with a few rows of I-Cord. The brim is worked in a textured 2x1 rib pattern and finished with the stretchy Icelandic Bind-Off.

To fit 18-20 (20-22, 22-24)” / 45.5-51 (51-56, 56-61) cm head circumference.

Recommended ease: 2-4” / 5-10 cm of negative ease at brim.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Brim circumference: 15.75 ( 18, 20.25)” / 40 (46, 51.5) cm.
Diameter: 9 (10.25, 11.5)” / 23 (26, 29.5) cm.

MATERIALS
Yarn: 1 (1, 2) balls of Creative Melange Chunky by Rico Design (53% virgin wool, 47% acrylic, 93 yds / 85 m per 50 g). Or approx. 66 (93, 121) yds / 61 (85, 111) m of bulky-weight yarn.

Needles: US 9 / 5.5 mm DPNs or long circular needle (at least 32” / 80 cm) for working small circumferences in the round, US 9 / 5.5 mm 16” / 40 cm long circular needle, and US 8 / 5 mm 16” / 40 cm long circular needle.

Notions: Tapestry needle.

GAUGE
15 sts x 22 rnds to 4″ / 10 cm on US 9 / 5.5 mm needles in St st, after blocking.
