This is a simple and unique blanket, made using the Filet technique of crochet. This pattern is written in US and UK terms. Just download whichever version you prefer. It is such an addictive technique to use as you slowly see the pattern emerging with each finished row.

It uses DK yarn. You can use any to suit your preference but this will alter the size of your blanket. It uses approximately 500g of yarn. 400g for 12 squares (3 squares in 4 colours) and 100g for joining and the border if made following this pattern.

I used 100g of Paintbox Simply DK in Blush Pink (Colour A)
100g of Paintbox Simply DK in Ballet Pink (Colour B)
100g of Paintbox Simply DK in Stormy Grey (Colour C)
200g of Paintbox Simply DK in Paper White (Colour D)

If using DK yarn a 4.0mm crochet hook is required, and scissors and a tapestry needle are also needed to complete this project. Stitch markers are helpful but optional.

A larger blanket will need more yarn.

If following this pattern your finished blanket will be approximately 33 inches by 44 inches

The pattern consists of written instructions as well as a chart. There are instructions on how to amend the size of the blanket too.
