Bow ho ho Christmas Bows
Bow big or bow home with this traditional and timeless tree-topping trio! These stocking stitch statements can be knitted in a small (10cm/4in), medium (15cm/6in) and large (20cm/8in) size, making them ideal for all sorts of seasonal celebrations and merry makeovers. And, for those who are all festive fingers and thumbs, there’s no tricky tying as each bow is made in three pieces, ensuring poinsettia perfect proportions every time! Ready, steady… BOW!
All pieces are knitted flat on straight needles. They’re then seamed and attached using mattress stitch. This pattern involves shadow wraps - a step-by-step photo tutorial is included in the pattern but you can also see a video here.
You’ll be pleased to know that this pattern has been reviewed by a professional technical editor to ensure that it’s super-easy to follow!

The boring bit…
This pattern is intended for personal use so it’s fine to print it out but please don’t sell it, share it on the internet or make multiple copies. What you can sell (more money for yarn – YAY!) is finished items made from this pattern so long as you’ve made them yourself and it’s not on a commercial basis. Please remember to credit me as the designer!
And finally…
I’d love to see your finished bows so please share them on Instagram and here on Ravelry!
