Pattern Notes
~ The pattern has three sizes. The first size is intended to fit children from 5 - 10 years old, and the following 2 sizes are for everyone older than that, but please select your size based on your head circumference. Hat opening will stretch and is intended to be snug fitting. Shown in Size 2 on a 53.5 cm / 21 inch head.
~ Cast on is made using the larger needle to make the cast on stitches slightly loose as you will be picking up the bottom of each cast on stitch to make a turned edge.
~ Elastic can be inserted inside the brim hem to prevent the lower edge from stretching out over time, only if desired.
