Bowtruckle
If you haven’t read “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” by Newt Scamander, you should definitely check out a copy from Madam Pince, the librarian: The fifth design in The Hogwarts Library Collection is a cowl inspired by the Bowtruckle, one of the wonderful creatures described in the book, which also happens to be one of Newt’s favorite mascots. No worries, Bowtruckles are really sweet tree guardians and usually harmless – as long as you don’t hurt a tree, in that case they might scratch your eyes out!
This snuggly and scratch-free cowl is worked in the round and features trellis cables that remind me of a dense forest, and it has some cute leaf motifs that you can arrange in all kinds of fun ways to personalize your Bowtruckle look – you could also knit the leaves in a different color to make them pop even more.
