Our Workbook — Your Look
The innovative Collage series from Brooklyn Tweed empowers you to become your own favorite designer. Enriched with customizable options, each Collage pattern serves as a roadmap to assembling your perfect piece. Its structured workbook format guides you through each choice point with clear illustrations, helping you select collar stitch and style, hem silhouette and sleeve length for a finished garment that is wholly your own.
Construction
- A build-your-own pattern, the Box Pullover offers multiple variations for sleeve length, hem shape, and collar treatment. The sleeve options include Sleeveless, Short, Three-Quarter, and Long. Hem shapes include a Classic Hem, a Vented Hem (which can be hi-lo or not), and a Curved Hi-Lo Hem. Collar options are a Crew Neck, a Mock Neck, and a Turtleneck. Body hems, sleeve cuffs, and collars can be worked in multiple stitch options: 1x1 Ribbing, 2x2 Ribbing, Beaded Rib, or Garter Stitch (as well as a simple, rolled stockinette collar).
- All versions are worked from the bottom up. The Classic and Curved Hem options begin in the round; the Vented Hem is worked flat in pieces and then joined to be worked in the round for the body. The upper front and back are worked separately and flat. Shoulders are shaped with a sloped bind off and seamed. Sleeves are worked flat and bottom up, then sewn into the armholes and seamed. Stitches are picked up for the collar which is worked circularly.
- All three hem versions include decreases above the hem and increases before the body is separated for front and back, adding gentle waist shaping.
