I designed the original Box Top Cardi pattern because I wanted a fluffy cardigan that would knit up quickly. This is a DK version perfect for Spring and cool summer nights. It will not fly off your needles quite as quickly as its bulky big sister; however, it is a nice quick knit as well.

This cardigan is knit top-down, making it easy to alter the length of the sleeves or body. This is a beginner sweater featuring a raglan fit, a shaped V-neckline, long sleeves, optional short rows at back hem, and with buttonhole(s) or a tie.

• Bust circumference: 36 (38, 41.5, 45, 47, 49, 51) (53, 55, 57, 59) inches 91.5 (96.5, 105.4, 114, 119.5, 124.5, 129.5) (134.5, 139.5, 145, 150) cm; Note: When buttoned, the total circumference will decrease by the button/buttonhole overlap. In the sample, this is 0.80 inches (2 cm) total.
• Yoke depth: 10 (10, 10, 10, 10, 10.75, 11.5) (12, 12.75, 13.5, 14) inches 25.5 (25.5, 25.5, 25.5, 25.5, 27.5, 29) (30.5, 32.5, 34.5, 35.5) cm.
• Body length of front from underarm: 10 inches (25.5 cm), or desired length. Optional short rows will add about 2 inches (5 cm) at center back.

Yarn
DK: 4 (4, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6) (6, 6, 7, 7) skeins of Plymouth Yarns Deluxe DK Tweed in color Olive, 284 yards (259 meters)/100 g skein, 90% Superwash Wool / 7% Acrylic / 3% Viscose, or 1019 (1073, 1167, 1249, 1305, 1403, 1501) (1591, 1678, 1761, 1884) yards 932 (981, 1067, 1142, 1193, 1283, 1373) (1455, 1534, 1610, 1723) meters of DK weight yarn.

Needles and Notions
US 6 (4 mm) circular needles; long cord for body; 16 inches (40 cm) or double-points for sleeves.
Other notions: Stitch markers, stitch holders or waste yarn, tapestry needle, five (or six—I like to buy an extra) 1/2- or 5/8-inch (12.75 or 15 mm) buttons, sewing needle & thread.

Gauge
20 sts and 24 rows to 4 inches (10 cm) in Stockinette St on US 6 (4 mm) needles. Please block swatch to check gauge.
