Braided Hug Snood is a hybrid between a cowl and a hood. I’m a big fan of cowls for their easy-to-wear nature, but often my ears get cold if I’m not wearing a hat. This fluffy and airy snood is the answer to my needs! Worn as a cowl, this chunky knit keeps your neck nice and toasty, but if necessary, it can be pulled up to cover your ears without messing your hair. This beautiful accessory works well with a casual or more put-together outfit.

YARN AND YARDAGE
220 m / 240 yards of Wooldreamers Manchelopis (100 % Manchega wool) and Filcolana Alva (100 % alpaca) or similar DK weight + lace weight yarn held together.
Manchelopis is an unspun yarn that is wound into a plate two strands held together. In this project I’m considering this yarn to be DK weight with two strands held together.
The grey sample is worked with Drops Air held together with Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk.

GAUGE
12 sts x 26 rows of garter or 16 sts x 20 rows in cable pattern is 10x10 cm / 4x4 inches after blocking

SIZING
one size

There are instructions how to modify the size to be bigger, but the yardages are calculated for the sample size. By changing a needle size or yarn weight you get even more size options.
