PATTERN NOTES
This cowl uses one ball of a gradient yarn, divided into two unequal portions to create a handy reversible cowl. It commences with a two-colour long-tail cast on, before the body of the cowl is worked in a quadruple tuck stitch pattern that is reminiscent of blackberries (Bramen is Dutch for blackberries). The cowl is cast off using Elizabeth Zimmermann’s sewn cast-off method (also known as stem stitch, half hitch or outline stitch cast off).
