Breakers Shawlette is meant to celebrate our deep, almost spiritual connection to the ocean. Echoing the rhythm of the sea, the waves begin small and simple, swelling higher with each one, crescendoing at the bottom point of the scarf.

Breakers is an asymmetrical shawlette worked from the far left point to the right side edge. One yarn over paired with one decrease on each right side row forms the rising waves, flowing in a sea of Garter Stitch. The shape of the shawlette is created with one increase at the end of each right side row and at the beginning of each wrong side row.
