Bretagne Sweater
Pay what works
Knitting is not only a creative and relaxing occupation, in times as these it also is invaluable as a sort of therapy, an opportunity to make enriching encounters and come together with other knitters. Last but not least, it’s a wonderful way to make your own sustainable wardrobe.
In order to make my knitting patterns accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation, I now offer a “Pay What Works” scheme. This way, you choose the amount that you feel is accessible for you and use the corresponding coupon code at checkout. The price indicated above is the full price and no coupon code is needed to purchase the pattern at this price. Below are listed two coupon codes with their corresponding final price.

Description
The Bretagne sweater is a comfortable garment with a slight oversized fit. While the front is worked entirely in a delicate cable pattern consisting of single twists, the back is worked in stockinette stitch. A seed stitch side panel along the body marks the separation between back and front, and is continued all along the armholes.
The sweater is worked in the round, from the bottom up all the way to the armholes. Front and back are then split and worked separately. Once both parts are completed, the shoulders are knit together with a modified three needle bind-off.
The sleeves are worked by picking up stitches along the armholes, so there will be no sewing needed. The bindings for the neckline and sleeves mirror the binding for the lower body, and allow for a comfortable ease.
Several variations are suggested for this pattern, such as different lengths for the body (short and long version), as well as a vest version, where instead of sleeves, the bindings are worked at the edge of the armholes to make a neat finishing.
