Breza is Croatian name for the birch tree.
Years ago, while I was living in capital of my country, a beautiful
birch tree grew beside to my building. Unfortunately, it was
broken during a big summer storm a few years later.
Even so, when I close my eyes, I can still vividly see my beloved
tree and hear the tapping of its thin branches against my window.
Those tender memories are woven into my design.

CONSTRUCTION
Socks are knitted top-down (from cuff to toe) with a ‘Eye of Partridge’ technique for the heel flap and gusset construction with textural instep. The cuff and leg are knit in the round, while the heel flap and heel turn are worked flat. Stitches are then picked up along the heel flap, and knitting continues in the round. After completing knitting the foot, you will work decreases to shape the toe, and, the remaining stitches are grafted together to finish.
