Urban Dictionary defines Droughtlander as:
The desperately long stretch of time between seasons of Outlander, marked by binges of often disappointing replacement shows followed by yet another re-watch of The Wedding episode from season one.
Desperately long is right!! Seriously, this has been the longest Droughtlander that we have experienced yet, and I am ready for the show to come back, already! It’s been so long that I decided to design a Scottish inspired shawl that we can all knit together while re-watching the show, and not-so-patiently waiting for the next season!
The shawl is inspired by Brianna, and like the character, embodies a mix of the traditional and the modern. It uses a combination of slipped stitch color work for the center plaid section, and traditional stranded color work for the hounds tooth wings. The unique construction creates a modern triangular shape!
