Bright & Beautiful Shawl is a circular shawl knit using the Pi Shawl template by Elizabeth Zimmerman. One of my favorite hymns is “All Things Bright and Beautiful” which describes the many lovely things in creation, including flowers. So the center of the shawl has a vine motif which then transitions to leaves and then finally to a garden of flowers, complete with pathways between the flower beds. The ripple of the border is reminiscent of a stream running through the garden. The lace patterns are a combination of my own designs and adaptations of stitches found in 50 Fabulous Knit Stitches and 50 Fabulous Knitted Lace Stitches by Rita Weiss. Both charted and written instructions are included. I hope you will find this shawl to be both a bright and beautiful addition to your wardrobe.

Happy Knitting!

MATERIALS & INFO
Sample shown using Super Silky by Emma’s Yarns (4 skeins/1600 yards) in “Very Berry” colorway. You’ll need about 1300 yards to complete the shawl. You can also use your favorite fingering weight yarn in a “flowery” colorway – solid or semi-solid would work best to let the lace shine.
