Bristlecone cowl
Bristlecone is a play in textures—a wide panel of easy, reversible, Rib and Seed stitch is flanked by bands of linen stitch and smooth I-cord edging.
Knit it as a single deep loop to scrunch around the neck, or as a longer infinity scarf that can be worn in one long loop or doubled for extra warmth.
FINISHED DIMENSIONS
Single loop cowl: 24 x 9½“ / 61 x 24 cm
Longer cowl: 58 x 7½” / 147 x 19 cm
LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY
Advanced beginner to intermediate.
TECHNIQUES
Provisional cast-on, knitting, purling, increasing, knitting through the back loop, slipping stitches, I-cord bind-off, working in the round.
The stitch patterns are provided in charted and written form. Includes notes on customizing cowl size.
