I designed this scarf for my good friend Brittany. I wanted to give her a piece that would match her style and everyday wardrobe. As I worked it up, I knew I had to write it down to share with the community. The pattern is easy to memorize and Netflix-friendly, without being boring. The purl bumps create a delicate texture, despite using bulky weight yarn. Big enough to have several different options for styling, but not too big that you drown in it. Cozy perfection!

The scarf features a textured rib stitch pattern and is knit flat in one piece.
Beginner-Friendly! Techniques include: cast on, knit, purl, slip, and bind off.

The pattern includes directions for one size, as well as instructions for how to modify length and width.

Materials:
-5 Balls Lion Brand Hue + Me Yarn (Sample shown in colorway ‘Desert’)
-US13/9MM Knitting Needles (Straight or Circular)
-Tapestry Needle and Scissors for Weaving in Ends
-Blocking Materials
-Locking Stitch Marker to Mark Right Side of Work, if desired

Gauge is taken after blocking. Photos were taken after only a light blocking, and the stitches opened up a lot more after a trip in the washing machine. See pattern for blocking notes.

I would absolutely LOVE to see your Brittany Blanket Scarves!
