Pretty lattice-stitch mitts to match the Broderie Hollandaise hat. The stitch pattern is my own dutch-style version of the classic broderie anglaise stitch, and uses the same knit-long technique along with some left and right twists.

Construction: Mitts are worked in the round from cuff to top. Thumb shaping is part welt, part flap for a lovely fit.

Sizes: S (M): 61⁄2 (71⁄2)“ / 16 (19) cm palm circumference. To modify sizes further, adjust needle size.

Yarn: 1 skein (50 gm) Sunday Knits 3 ply (light sport weight: 246 yd /225 m to 1.75 oz / 50 g): Eden (merino), Nirvana (merino & cashmere), Angelic (merino & angora) or Brigadoon (merino tweed). Shown in Nirvana delft.
Substitute any wool or wool blend yarn that work nicely to gauge: 160 (185) yds / 145 (170) m.

Gauge: 28 sts and 35 rows = 4” in St st using larger needles.

Needles: Double-pointed needles size US 3 /3.25 and US 1 / 2.25 mm for ribbing, or size necessary to obtain the correct gauge. For larger needles, a pointy tip is recommended.
Notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle.

Techniques used: Knit-long stitches, right and left twist stitches pick up and knit for thumb.

Pattern includes: Written instructions, stitch patterns in both written and charted formats, link to a photo-tutorial demonstrating the stitch pattern techniques.
