This is the fifth pattern in the ShannaJean Club Year 2, a super fun pattern, yarn, and social club celebrating friendship! You can join the club by simply purchasing the collection, and you’ll get a pattern every other month through December 2021.

……………………………..
This is a new take on a sock I designed for a sock club years ago. I always wanted to develop this pattern for a more meditative knitting experience, and of course, add a toe-up option, so voila! These socks feature a really fun Broken Chain medallion pattern, slipped-stitch heels, and both toe-up and cuff-down versions. Great for variegated, speckled, and solid sock yarns, this may just become your new go-to sock pattern.
YARN
approximately 200-350 yds/183-320 m fingering-weight yarn. I used Knitted Wit Sock in Sunset on Vacay (rainbow-y socks) & S’Mores (marshmallow’y socks).
GAUGE
32 sts & 44 rnds = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch in the round, measured after blocking.
32 sts & 44 rnds = 4”/10 cm in broken chain pattern, measured after blocking.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Adult small (medium, large): 6 (6.5, 8)“/15 (16.5, 20.5) cm foot circumference.
Socks shown with a 4.5”/11.5 cm leg length (measured from top of heel, customizable).
A big thanks to Stefan Lombard (my mister) for the photography, Knitted Wit for the yarn support (as always!) and Meaghan Schmaltz of the Unapologetic Knitter for the Tech Editing!
