Brooklyn Mitts
The name for those mitts came because the design reminds me of those buildings in Brooklyn with the outside fire staircases. I love the place and the feeling (and the yarn shops) one can find on that side of NYC. The mitts are architectural like the buildings but simple, elegant, and a perfect first colorwork project for a beginner.
Size 
1 (2, 3) Finished hand circumference unstretched of 6 (7, 8)“ / 15 (18, 21) cm. 
The length is adjustable. 
The sample is shown in size 2 with no ease.
Yarn/Yardage 
Any fingering yarn (437 yards/400m in 100 grams). The sample is shown in Alltkemi yarn, 100% wool naturally dyed 
MC - Natural color, 30 grams (132 yards/120 m) 
CC1 - Green (Naturally dyed with Reed), 15 grams (67 yards/60 m) 
CC2 - Brown (Naturally dyed with pine cones), 15 grams (67 yards/60 m)
Gauge 
30 sts & 28 rows = 4”/10 cm. In the round, in the pattern, after blocking.
Needles 
US 2/2.75 mm –32”/80 cm circular (for magic loop) or a set DPNs 
(Use the needle size you need to achieve gauge)
