Broomstick Lace Scarf or Wrap
Whether you can knit or crochet, this is a great beginner technique for creating a lacy fabric with lots of gorgeous drape. You only need to know how to make a chain stitch and a single crochet stitch in crochet - or learn these really simple stitches for the technique.
For the scarf, you will need 110 yards of bulky yarn (sample shown in Joseph Galler’s Flore II), K/10.5 (6.5mm) crochet hook and a US50 (25mm) knitting needle. Finished size: 7” x 53”
For the wrap, you will need 850 yards of dk weight yarn (sample shown in Joseph Galler’s Pashmina II), G/6 (4mm) crochet hook, US17 (12.75 mm) knitting needle. Finished size: 20” x 62”
