Ring cables dance like bubbles around the body of this whimsical cowl, framed at top and bottom with I-cord rounds and textured hdc bands. Surface slip stitch circles add a subtle embellishment that echoes the bubbly theme.

Cowl is worked in one piece from the top down, starting with an I-cord foundation row. The I-cord edging worked after each section serves as the foundation for the next section.

Sample used 1 full skein + about 15 yards of a second skein (Malabrigo Arroyo).

This pattern is part of the book Live Loop Cables in Crochet, which uses an innovative technique to create I-cord like cables on the fabric surface. Patterns were tech edited by Amy Daraghy (GreenHook on Rav).

Thanks for viewing, and happy crocheting!
