Knit from the top down, with a heel flap heel and standard toe.
The heel features simple stripes and slipped stitches that combine to make a pleasing texture and pattern. One small simple chart gives the basket effect. There are also written instructions for those who would prefer.

Pattern has instructions for 60, 66 and 72 stitch cast on - roughly ladies small, or ladies med/mens small and ladies large/mens med.
