Bubbly Mitts
Solid and variegated colorways of yak and merino yarn work together to create the Bubbly Mitts. The two-color slip-stitch colorwork pattern gives these mitts a happy vibe, and the warmth and softness of yak and merino are a dream for cold hands in wintertime. You can wear these mitts inside and still perform tasks that require dexterity with ease.
FINISHED SIZE 7½“ hand circumference and 8” long.
YARN Bijou Basin Ranch Bijou Spun Himalayan Summit (50%Tibetan yak, 50% super fine merino; 325 yd / 3½ oz): old fashioned villain (red; A) and natural cream (B), 1 skein each.
NEEDLES Sizes 1½ (2.5 mm) and 2 (2.75 mm): set of double- pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
NOTIONS Markers (m); stitch holder; tapestry needle.
GAUGE 32 sts and 52 rows = 4” in charted patt on larger needles.
NOTES
- These mitts are worked in the round from the bottom up.
- Slip stitches purlwise with yarn in back.
