Bum-Diddy Hat
“Bum-Diddy” is a basic clawhammer banjo rhythm. It’s a two finger picking pattern that sets old time banjo playing apart from the bluegrass 5-finger style.
Bum-Diddy is a casual newsboy style slouchy hat. It begins with 1x1 ribbing before changing to a slipped stitch stockinette pattern. Topping it all off is a large pom pom.
The brim is worked after the main portion of the hat and keeps it’s shape without use of plastic canvas. It’s folded up and sewn on the right side of your work. This is to help keep the brim pulled up and prevent it from falling in your eyes.
