This classic baby blanket has the look of the traditional stripe patterns found in our Swans Island blankets. A simple linen stitch is used throughout to impart a woven look to the face of the fabric. The back side of this fabric has an equally interesting texture that looks like seed stitch, so there really is no “right” or “wrong” side. After the knitting is complete, you may choose to embroider on our Swans Island “weaver’s mark” — the sign of authenticity and the symbol that you have created a true, handcrafted heirloom.
