This mini Shetland hap is made in the traditional method of outside in.

In Shetland a square shawl is called a hap.

This mini hap is constructed in one of the traditional methods known as the 9-section method.

It is a great way to practice the techniques required for a Shetland hap before you make a large one.

This mini hap includes knitted lace as well as lace knitting in its design.

Finished size 33cm x 33cm/13in x 13in

Please note: This pattern does not include the instructions for The Betsy Join. The hap can be joined using your preferred method of grafting.

For further information about The Betsy Join please visit my website: www.elizabethwilliamsonknitting.co.uk where you will find classes available for both making mini haps and The Betsy Join.
