Pattern description from The Best of Interweave Knits: “In two far-flung corners of the world - Burma, tucked between India and Southeast Asia, and South Africa, home to the Ndebele people - women have for centuries worn brass rings around their necks. Barbara Venishnick took these rings as an inspiration and knitted them into a sweater in soft merino wool. The body of this pullover is worked in the round; the sleeves are worked flat from the cuffs to the armholes, then joined to the yoke, which is also worked in the round and punctuated with reverse stockinette-stitch color bands for texture. The hemmed picot edges hang straight to give the pullover a loose, comfortable fit.”
