The Buttercream Baby Blanket is a soft, warm yellow cabled blanket that I designed with sweet spring and summertime babies in mind. Of course it can be made for any baby or toddler at any time, and it is easily adaptable to a thicker yarn or larger blanket.

This pattern is perfect for a knitter who may be unfamiliar with cables but wants to venture into a little bit more complicated work. This cable and braid pattern is lovely and fun to work with, once you get going it is easy to remember and doesn’t take much concentration. Using a soft pima cotton ensures that this blanket will be easy to care for and incredibly soft on baby’s skin.

Pattern includes an optional seed stitch border, blanket pictured does NOT have the seed stitch border.
