Butterflies & Lace Cowl
Designed as Wooden Spools’ shop pattern for the 2017 Yarn Along the Rockies.
Pattern works well with either sport or fingering weight yarn--you may not need a full 400 yards, but extra yarn is great for adding edging to the sides. If you prefer thicker/thinner yarn, you can adjust your hook size as necessary or even add/subtract repeats to the pattern to make it bigger/smaller, as desired.
Cowl is sewn together at the end, so, if you prefer a scarf, you can leave it unjoined and/or add additional pattern repeats to make it longer.
Note: this pattern went to printing before I realized a possibly better way to do the Half Double Crochet Puff stitches…when you get to 11 loops on the hook, yo, draw through 10 loops on hook, yo, draw through last 2 loops on hook.
