GENERAL INFORMATION:

Butterfly Drops is an all-over-patterned lace top, suitable for the warm summer days. It is inspired by the butterfly’s wings spread among the beautiful summer flowers shimmering with the morning dew.

The top is knitted in the round, bottom up to the armholes then split into front and back and knitted flat. The construction provides for a small amount of ease as part of the pattern is rib-based. The piece is characterized by precise finishing touches like the i-cord finish of the flattering V-neck and careful armhole decreases in line with the overall pattern.

Pattern includes both charts and written instructions.

The pattern is suitable for intermediate knitters and/or adventurous beginners, used to knitting in the round and following lace charts/instructions.

SIZES:

Size - to fit bust (cm)/(in)

S/M - 85-95 / 34-38
L - 100-105 / 40-42
XL - 110-115 / 44-46
XXL - 120-125 / 48-50

YARN:

The pattern is intended for a DK cotton yarn, as the specific weight of cotton “opens up” the motifs. To this end cotton and cotton blends are highly recommended as well as yarn, providing for good stitch definition.

GAUGE:

Gauge (in stockinette stitch): 21 stitches x 28 rows for 10 cm x 10 cm / 4 x 4 in
