Meet Buzzington the Bumble Bee, Proof that Bee’s and crochet African Flowers are a match made in yarn heaven.
Material Requirements
The Bee that has been crocheted for this pattern, uses a mix of different brands of double knit yarn. Any brand of double-knit will work for this pattern.
Black - Stylecraft special dk - approx 60g
Mustard yellow - Paintbox yarns - approx 30g
Banana yellow - cygnet colourful dk - approx 25g
White - Stylecraft special dk - approx 30g
Grey - Stylecraft special dk - approx 5g
Polyester toy stuffing
Eyes 24mm (plastic safety eyes or glass looped eyes).
This pattern would also work using fine/ sports/2 fine yarn for a smaller Bee or Aran/worsted/4 weight yarn for a bigger Bee
Crochet Hook
2.50mm
Size
Using this weight yarn and size hook will give you a Bee roughly measuring
30cm/ 12 inches measured from face to the bum.
15cm/ 6 inches from side to side.
20cm/ 8 inches from the front of the feet to top of the antennas

Ch = chain stitch
Sc = single crochet
Hdc = half double crochet

BLO = Back loop only
