This pattern was designed in March of 2020 during a very somber time in our country. Our lives were changing quickly in a way that many of us had never experienced before. There were new challenges to overcome, as well as new discoveries on the horizon. I spent a lot of time thinking about days gone by while being isolated at home and I began realizing how great my life is and about how grateful I am for all that I have. And while life may never be the same as it was before, I am ready for the challenges that are awaiting me. Life is good and there are so many beautiful days yet to come.

This sock is worked from the top down beginning with a ribbed cuff. The pattern of the sock is on the front half and contains a simple cable pattern, as well as a broken rib design. The sock has approximately 2” of negative ease and the design looks great on all genders and ages. There is flexibility in the length of the sock too. The design uses a gusset heel, although it would be easy to substitute a different heel if you would like. The pattern is designed for double pointed needles but is easily adapted for magic loop method.
