I was asked to design the project for the 2020 annual “Crochet for Cansa” fundraising event. Unfortunately the event had to be cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions in South Africa. The pattern includes two easy to make jar topper designs. “Hope” has a plain spiral start with an overlay, lace side, whereas “Faith” starts off with a flower motif top, ending with a plain spiral side. To round it off, make a string with flower detail that could be tied around the neck of the jar.

Skill level: Adventurous Beginner to Intermediate.

Materials: You will need ±20g of 4ply cotton to make 1 jar topper and a 3mm crochet hook.

Measurements: To fit a 8.5cm lid. Simply adjust your hook and/or yarn to make a smaller/larger jar topper.
