This big, beautiful stole was designed to allow knitters to play with six different colors of Yowza! Minis to create an accessory you can totally wrap up in.

While the multiple bands of color might make it look like this would be a challenging knit, looks can be deceptive. This piece is actually made up of only two stitch patterns with each of these stitch patterns being 4 stitches wide and 4 rows tall.

The way the color interacts with the simple lace creates a dance of color dominance giving the illusion of more color blocks than are actually worked. And since the color combos that you are using to knit the lace changes, each panel has a different look while you are knitting the same stitch.

The lace portions use only YO, a central double decrease (CDD), and slipped stitches. The solid texture portions use LT and RT and in case you are unfamiliar with these stitches a link to a video tutorial is included in the pattern (you can see it here)
and a demonstration of a CDD is available here.

In total you will need 6 colors of Miss Babs Yowza Minis but if you have some left overs from the full sized Yowza skeins you need about 80 g of each.

The colors I used are Muslin, Eternity, Monsoon, Abiquiu, Suspense, and Slot Canyon

Stitches used: CDD, k, kfb, p, ssk, s-wyif, s-wyib, YO, LT, RT

So you have an idea of size, my lovely model is about 5’2” and she’s wearing cowboy boots.
