This is an advent scarf for 2012, made up of 24 cable patterns. It is charted and written. The finished size is about 7 1/2 inches wide by 84 inches long. You can use any sportweight yarn to get this size. A fingering weight yarn will make the finished scarf shorter and more narrow and likewise a heavier yarn will make it wider and longer. I have not included a gauge. I used a 4mm(size 6) which is slightly large. If you really want the cables to pop go down a needle size, but be aware that it may make it more difficult in the end to block out your edges.
