Imagine this beautiful cable stocking hanging in your home. The stocking starts with the cabled and popcorn band that reminds me of the popcorn and fruit garland we made and hung on the trees outside for the animals to enjoy.  The stitches gets picked up from the top band and worked down to the toe with an afterthought heel, by providing a double layer at the top, I think it hangs nice and flat on the mantle.  The swirled circular decrease on the heel and toe reminds me of the swirled candies we always had at Christmas as a child. 

Knit in a light worsted or dk weight yarn, it is a fairly quick, if somewhat challenging knit.  It is a generously size stocking at 8” wide and 21 inches long from cuff to toe. Directions include both written and charted for the cables.
