You can now purchase the Cable and Rib Hat pattern as part of a kit in our online store. Learn more here.
Cable & Rib Hat
The first time you knit a cable, make it a meditative one. Easy cables flow from the simple ribbed brim, running the length of the hat and neatly into the crown. Instructions are included for those of you ready to work in the round and for those who prefer to work flat and then seam. The cables are charted and full written instructions are also provided. Wear with a little slouch or the brim folded up for a snugger, cosier fit. Whether you choose to add a pompom or not is your call.

Foundations: The first wobbly scarf you knit and knotted proudly around your neck to keep out the cold. The handmade mittens you wore as a child, a gift from a beloved relative. When we think about the hours spent making those items, we understand that they are an act of love. It’s the time you set aside for your own creativity that day. It’s the way you felt as your beloved pulled on your hat as they left for work that day. Each stitch, a hidden wish. The gift of handmade is at the core of our latest series of design collections. We named it ‘Foundations’ because these are the building blocks for a lifelong hobby in which we can clothe ourselves and our loved ones in beautiful colours and texture.
