Cable Bias Scarf
Note - if you wish, you can slip the last stitch on the WS to get neat slipped stitch edge I used on my “boomerang” patterns. To do so - on WS, knit up to the last 2 stitches, then kfb and sl1wyif, to have a nice braided edge.
If you know how to make cables, you should find this a relaxing knit.
If you don’t, this could be an easy way to learn.
Cables aren’t hard; the only tricky thing is remembering where you put the cable needle ♥ (in your hair, down the sofa, behind your ear, under your bra strap…. )
I made this with Aran weight tweed because I think tweed and cables are a perfect match, but you can use any weight of yarn (probably fingering - aran would work best, but you can go even heavier if you like).
It works best with tweed, semi-solid or solid. Anything busier tends to fight with the cables.
Many thanks to the testers.
