I started this design with the large cable panel at the center front. It reminded me of columns from ancient Greek architecture, so I expanded on this theme with very linear rows of cable ribbing. The straight lines of the all-over pattern and square neckline are softened by subtle waist shaping that takes place invisibly between ribs of the cable pattern. The fabric is quite stretchy, giving the sweater a comfy, relaxed fit while still looking sleek and tidy.

The sweater is worked flat, bottom-up, with set-in sleeves. The front, back, and sleeves are sewn, and the neckband is worked in the round by picking up stitches. Directions for optional waist shaping are included.

Finished Measurements:
-Bust circumference: 31 (35¼, 39½, 43¾) {46½, 51, 55½}“ / 78.5 (90, 100, 111.5) {118, 129.5, 141} cm.
-Length: 23 (24, 24½, 25½) {26, 26½, 26½}” / 58.5 (61, 62, 65) {66, 67.5, 67.5} cm

Designed to be worn with 2-4” / 5-10 cm positive ease at bust. Shown in Size S with 3” / 7.5 cm positive ease.
