This simple cable cosy comes with TWO sets of instructions, for circular needles, OR for straight needles. This would be suitable as a first cable project, given that the cabling pattern is not overly complicated. It is a modern take on a traditional Aran motif, creating a cozy which combines simplicity and a touch of difference.

This cosy, tactile cover will keep your tablet safe and sound! The cozy fits a standard tablet size (9 inch by 6 inch), but thanks to the stretch ribbing; it can accomodate several different widths with ease, and you can adjust length yourself to fit perfectly, by knitting more before casting off. The cover has a simple button closure, to make sure the tablet can’t slide out, but is still easy to open (even one-handed!)

Any Aran yarn should be suitable for this pattern, 5 mm needles/US8 are recommended, but there is some leeway given that Aran yarns can vary a little in thickness. I would suggest being guided by the needle size recommended for the Aran yarn you are using. Only one size of needles is required.

Also required are 1 button. A crochet hook (4mm) would be useful for working the loop closure, but instructions are given on how to work it if you do not have a crochet hook.
