Connie Chang Chinchio is a great fan of small shawls knitted in sock-weight yarn. Not only do they result in beautiful and economic little works of art, but Connie typically doesn’t have to look beyond her own stash for a suitable ball of yarn. She added a literal twist to this shawl’s airiness by edging the simple star mesh pattern with a more substantial reversible cable border. By working increases at a faster rate along the edges than along the center back, Connie made the tails curve in gentle arcs that help the shawl stay in place.
