Do you like both cable knit and shawls? If so, Cable Reaction is the right project for you! It’s a triangular shawl framed with lots of cable knitting and knitted from one tip to the other using short-raw technique. It gives a classic Aran knitting feel as well as a modern look and it keeps you warm in cold winter. Although this pattern gives instructions for two sizes, you can easily modify the shawl size by using different weight of yarn.

Material
Yarn: Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool (192yds/50gram); color: 70 Medium Blue; 4, 5 balls
Needles: US #6/4.0mm circular needle
Notion: one cable needle, one marker, one tapestry needle

Gauge
21sts x 31 rows in 4” in moss stitch, blocked. Gauge is not very important but will affect the size and yardage.

Techniques
Cable knitting, wrap&turn.

アラン、ケーブル模様が好きでなおかつ首に巻くものを作るのが好きというあなたには Cable Reaction は ぴったりのパターン。たくさんの縄編みで縁取られた三角ショールで、横向きに編んでいき、引き返し編 みで形を作っていきます。古典的なアラン編みのようなケーブル模様を楽しみつつも出来上がりはモダン で暖かみのあるショール。サイズは S、L の2種類ですが、糸の太さを変える事で簡単に出来上がりサイ ズを変える事ができます。

21 目 x 31 段:1目2段の鹿の子編み、ブロッキング後。 ゲージはそれほど重要ではありませんが出来上がりサイズや 糸量に影響します。
