Cable Scarf
This scarf uses a very basic cabling stitch. It’s ideal if you’re new to cabling or if you just want to be able to knit in front of the TV without having to keep looking at the instructions. You can adjust the width and length of the scarf to any size - the pattern tells you how to do this. You can also join the ends to make a snood.
Stitches used: sl1k, sl1p, C6L (explained in instructions)
You will need:
· Wool. I used Stylecraft Special Chunky and it took one 100g ball. Tension: 10cm x 10cm square is 14 stitches across and 20 rows. The amount of wool you need will depend on the length and width of your scarf and the thickness of your wool, so it would be wise to have more than 100g on hand.
· Knitting needles suitable for your chosen wool. I used UK size 6 (5.0mm, US size 8).
· Cable needle of about the same width as your knitting needles.
