PATTERN INFORMATION
The Cable Stayed Cardigan is an open front, seamless and top-down raglan cardigan with unusual construction: First, the yoke is worked as for a traditional raglan cardigan, but without fronts; only the back and sleeves are worked. When the yoke is finished, stitches for the fronts are picked up along the front sides of the sleeves, and the body is worked top down. The fronts are shaped with increases at the sides, starting from underarms, and decreases at the center. There is some waist shaping at the back for a flattering fit. Most of the body is worked in stockinette stitch, while the wedge-shaped areas where increases are worked on the fronts, waist shaping at the back, and raglan ‘seams’ have a cable pattern on reverse stockinette stitch background.

Yarn
Miss Babs Yowza (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 560 yd/8 oz (512m/225g) skeins) 3 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5) skeins, shown in Oyster.

Or 1200 (1310, 1460, 1650, 1850, 2050, 2310) yards/1090 (1190, 1330, 1500, 1680, 1860, 2100) meters of light worsted yarn.

For best results when working with hand dyed yarns we strongly suggest alternating skeins of the same color throughout your project.
